New Cat Food 3

I fed my cats some Brandon Farms at 8:15 AM. I gave them only a spoonful this time, of course, to cut down on the waste. They went after it since they had not eaten since yesterday evening, but they did not eat much. So after 20 or 30 minutes I put down some dry. I had to! I woke up a few times last night to some growling and hissing, and some scratching of the carpet at my bedroom door. Someone is hungry and grouchy!! What’s more, even after I fed the wet food, Kaitlyn was very grouchy, growling at Tobi, her brother, without much provocation. She needs her carb rush. So, I fed them some dry. Kaitlyn was in the kitchen eating for a few minutes. She is now (8:50 AM) lying on a table, licking her paws. I hear Tobi in the kitchen munching and crunching on the dry food. Update (10:10 AM): Corrected some typos. Update (12:00 PM): Put down some dry at 11:45 AM. I’ll leave it down for 30 minutes, to give my cats a chance to eat. Kaitlyn is still grouchy. Maybe her inner carnivore is coming out; maybe she just needs some mice or a squirrel to whack around… Update (8-3-09, 8 AM): I had to give my cats dry food yesterday evening; they would not eat the wet food I put down. I gave them some dry this morning, too. Ah, the slow, long, drawn-out process of getting my cats to eat like carnivores, to eat right, continues…
