It wasn’t a White Christmas and I wasn’t HOME for Christmas. I still consider HOME my parents house in Colorado. We did have a lovely Christmas here in our home, white or not. Hope yours was merry.
Yes, it was a warm Houston Christmas this year…which is often the case. But baring major events out of our control, the Christmas season is what we make of it. The snow we can get in our imaginations, in decorations, in those little things full of water and scenes of home that you shake up, in movies like “White Christmas” and “Holiday Inn,” in the music of Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Mariah Carey, Natalie Cole and the Three Tenors. That way we can have the feeling, but keep our warmth.
