Memorial Day Workout

Nice! I took some high school athletes out today for some fitness training. In the Houston heat and humidity, they and I went out for 2+ hours into some local woods. We helped them — MovNat and me — become better athletes, better movers, healthier people, and better thinkers. I had them work on throwing, catching, balancing, squatting, deadlifting, running, get-ups, and breathing — with good, proper technique, that is. Anyone can “do” those things. But not anyone can do them safely, efficiently, correctly, and with mastery. Nor does just anyone know how to use those things in life and athletics. Those two young men are now better, so society is now better.
