Fitness — For What?

The point of fitness is to be able to survive and to master the complexity of our world. Fitness means being able to perform complex movements in complex environments. Gyms are a useful, but limited tool — if all one does is go to the typical gym (non-CrossFit, etc.), one has only compromised, compartmentalized “fitness,” and has suboptimal mental and physical function.
