On February 20th and 21st, UH-downtown will host a science conference: the first annual HUNCON.
HUNSTEM (Houston Urban Network for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and ECH (The Engineering, Science and Technology Council of Houston) are working together to bring you the first Annual HUNCON, a conference designed to bring Houston’s complete learning community—educators, families, professional organizations, industry, and informal science institutions—together. HUNCon will provide you with: Hands-on learning opportunities. Opportunities to meet scientists and engineers who can help you connect what they do to your classroom. Opportunities to connect with organizations that provide free materials and lesson plans. Opportunities to give curriculum developers from industry and professional STEM organizations your input—to help make their products better for you!
The first annual *HUNCON* is scheduled for *February 20th and the 21st* at the University of Houston—Downtown. Hands-on workshops, demonstrations and activities will be held all day *Friday* (*9 am—4:30 pm*) and *Saturday* morning (*9 am—noon*). There will also be speakers, exhibits, field trips, door prizes and more!
