During the summer, I offer classes as well as in-person tutoring. The in-person tutoring and classes are in Houston, Tx, only. For those who live outside of Houston, Tx, we would meet via WebEx, which you can learn about at The Online Virtual Classroom. If you are interested in private tutoring or classes, please contact me.
During the summer, I will be offering Prealgebra, Geometry, SAT Prep and ACT Prep. We could add other courses such as Arithmetic, Precalculus, Calculus, or Physics From a Historical Perspective at your request.

This class is for students who want to strengthen their understanding of prealgebra math concepts during the summer months. This could be used as a prealgebra prep class for high school prealgebra or algebra, a refresher course for those struggling with prealgebra math concepts, or anyone wanting to increase their knowledge of prealgebra during the summer.
Class will be held on Mondays from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM CST in June and July. We will start June 8th and end July 27th, holding class for 8 weeks. (Note: 9:00 AM CST is 10:00 AM Eastern, 8:00 AM Mountain, and 7:00 AM Pacific Time.) We will work an hour to an hour and a half, 60 to 90 minutes, each Monday of the week; students will then have work to do during the week on the topics covered that Monday. Class will be held via WebEx (free for you; you participate in the classroom I have purchased) and will be recorded, so you have the option of reviewing class at a later time, and the option of watching the class at a later time or date if you miss the live Monday class.
Topics covered will include factoring, LCM, GCF, fractions, decimals, percent, exponents, order of operations, integers, real numbers, simplifying and evaluating algebraic expressions, solving linear equations, word problems, coordinate systems and graphing.
The text will be Introductory Algebra, 7th edition, by Keedy & Bittinger, publisher Addison-Wesley Publishing Company, ISBN 0-201-59561-3, available on Abebooks.com and Amazon. Another edition of the text would be acceptable.
This class is for students who want to strengthen their understanding of geometric concepts during the summer months. This could be used as a geometry prep class for high school math, a refresher course for those struggling with geometric concepts, or anyone wanting to increase their knowledge of the theory and practice of geometry during the summer.
Class will be held on Tuesdays from 10:00 AM until 11:00/11:30 AM CST in June and July. We will start June 9th and end July 28th, holding class for 10 weeks. (Note: 10:00 AM CST is 11:00 AM Eastern, 9:00 AM Mountain, and 8:00 AM Pacific Time.) We will work an hour to an hour and a half, 60 to 90 minutes, each Tuesday of the week; students will then have work to do during the week on the topics covered that Tuesday. Class will be held via WebEx (free for you; you participate in the classroom I have purchased) and will be recorded, so you have the option of reviewing class at a later time, and the option of watching the class at a later time or date if you miss the live Tuesday class.
