I like the austerity and starkness of this video. The story and visuals go well with the song. The choice of making this a black and white picture was a good one, too.
Update (4:05 PM): In some respects, this video — just as the recent Linda Rondstadt video — is very mathematical: in the pacing, the rhythm, the precision, the sequencing.
As the great cellist Yo-Yo Ma said (If I remembered the source of this quote correctly): ‘What you do between notes is as important as what you do on the notes.’ This applies to music, dance, architecture, painting, movies. The control of space and time in making sounds and visuals into art seems very mathematical.
